The Rooster soccer team had a great week getting three victories with two shut-outs in the Excelsior Springs tournament!
With some new names in the starting lineup this year, the Roosters are playing well and it is showing in the win column! The team earned a 3-1 victory early in the week vs. Fort Osage. The semi-final match ended in a 1-0 victory vs the Smithville Warriors. The championship game on Saturday resulted in an exciting 1-0 win over the Kearney Bulldogs!
The championship was a great team effort. After an early Evan Burns goal in the first half, the defense took over. Lead by Jackson Petersen in goal; Kohlin Rahe, Ethan Hesterberg and Cason Driver managed some outstanding stops helping preserve the victory.
The Roosters travel to compete in the KC Classic at Van Horn High School this week. They will play on Monday and Wednesday; both games begin at 6pm. Tickets distributed to family members are required. Admission is $5 to the games.
